Seed Storage Guidelines

Correct storage preserves germination percentage and seed vigour from procurement to sowing. Follow these seven practices:

01	Moisture	Dry seeds to ≤12% moisture. Never bag damp seeds — condensation destroys embryos.
02	Temperature	Store below 25°C in a cross-ventilated room away from kitchens and cattle sheds.
03	Sunlight	Raise bags on wooden pallets. Keep away from sun-facing walls and direct floor contact.
04	Packaging	Retain original Riventa sealed bags. Do not re-bag into jute sacks or open polythene.
05	Pest Control	Use approved fumigants or neem leaves. Seal rodent entry points and inspect bags weekly.
